The shuttle tournament organised by RC Vadapalani was held yesterday at Alumni Club.As usual RCCT had good attendence and cheering in full swing…think we would have even got a couple of points by the loud cheering from all sides(literally).
Great playing by Rtns.Ram /Satish / Rajesh Trika/ Raj /Eshwer inspite of recent recovery from chikangunya/ Annet Arjun. Our ever energetic Anns Shobha and Gita were the runners up in the women’s teams losing only to the host club. It was good to see one of our newest annets abhishek , s/o Dr.Sumedha, opting to play as an RCCT annet rather than for the host club.
On the whole ,a sporty Sunday..Congrats to gita / shobha and all the rotarians who came to cheer too even if they were not playing.
I must mention here that Rtn.Satish Jupiter though he had come to play,did not for a moment loose track of being the VOD chairman and was spotted selling dinner coupons everywhere, that his partner was worried he wil leave the game halfway if anyone wanted the coupons. Between Pres Rajie and him, they have sold quite a lot of coupons yesterday.
