VOCATIONAL SERVICE AWARDS 2009-2010

Every year as a part of Vocational Service, we honour deserving candidates in selected fields by conferring them with an award of excellence. This year we have chosen to honour eminent personalities from fields such as Sports, Education, Arts, Medicine, Music and Environment. The Award shall be given in recognition of excellence, result-oriented performance and commendable achievements for the following in the respective categories mentioned therein:

• Education – Dr Kumara Rani Meena Muthiah (Chettinad Group of Educational Institutes)
• Environment – Ms Shobha Menon (Nizhal Foundation)
• Medicine – Dr Rajan (Director Cardiac Surgery, Madras Medical Mission)
• Young Achiever (Sports) – Mr Armaan Ebrahim (Motor Racing)
• For the Sake of Honour (Film Industry, Arts) – Padmashri Thota Tharrani
• Life Time Achievement (Film Industry, Music) – Mellisai Mannar M S Vishwanathan
